I'm looking for a STOCK sender, for an Electric Cooling Fan, from a Chevy. I need the sender that either threads into the head between exhaust ports. I WAS going to purchase an aftermarket one (190º on/180º off) for $15, but I would rather have a little hotter one (preferrably 210º on/200º off) Anyone know what vehicle might have this? I know stock, C4's came with 220º, but that's a little TOO hot for my liking.
Stock fan switches come in a variety of flavors. If you can get your hands on the catalog of a switch supplier, you can help yourself. When I bought the switch for my Corvette, I looked up the stock switch and then went to the back of the book to the specs section. Back there the switches are in numerical order. Once I knew the thread size and electrical connection type, I went through all the switches, one by one, until I found the temps I wanted, and that would replace my stock switch.
After all, those fancy, expensive, aftermarket switches are nothing more than the stock switch for something else.

RACE ON!!!
What catalog is that CFI? So, I can know where to start looking. Damn switch shouldn't be more than $10, eh?
Any catalog of an electric fan switch supplier. The names Delco, Blue Streak, and Wells first come to mind. I can't remember who's book it was that I looked in, for my switch. It has been several years, but $7.00 to $8.00 is about what I paid.
