MAKE SURE you check the ring gaps
follow piston manufacturer reccomendations on this
I have seen the top ring land beaten out of these from
too little ring gap clearance

Been there, done that. Had the parts in my oil pan to prove it.
At our engine shop we don't feel comfortable using hypers as over the last few years we have had more calls and emails on broken hypers then all the years dealing with forged pistons.
No matter how your look at it its still a cast piston.
Mine worked fine on a B&B 355 ci until I went with big heads and a roller cam. According to KB they have sustained FPM limitations. Mine failed in 15 minutes or so of continues 6000+ rpm with only a 3.48 stroke.
I'd run them over 7000 on many occasions like drag racing. Open road racing at constant high rpm and they melted the skirts and ring lands. clouds of blue smoke and it sounded like rod knock.
They have some good points like tight cylinder to wall clearance. They would be fine in mildly built up motors.
From: Who says "Nothing is impossible" ? I've been doing nothing for years.
Like stated above good for mild buildups and occasional blips to 6500RPM but for a serious motor ( racing applications, sustained high RPM ) go forged. And like stated above you cannot gap the rings the same as other hyper pistons, has something to do with the material they are made of

I've been running them for over 20K miles in my current engine with no problem. Proper ring gap is indeed critical though.
