Yesterday I was thinking about rev limiters and shifting. I have the Crane multi spark with 2 stage rev controls.
I was wonder how you others have yours set? I have a 700R4 and a 7000 rpm govenor. The shifts at WOT and high TV cable pressure are brutal. Making severe wheel speed on the 1-2 and 2-3 shift with street tires.
So I started thing about how my drag bike is setup with ignition cut out for clutchless air shifts. So I set my rev limiter on my HI6R at the shift points. What an improvement
It's like the big bangs and feeling sorry for the tranny and everything back all went away.
Beach and any of you other Auto tranny racers tried the same thing?
