head decision
looking for new heads.
Engine spec:
1991 355
hotcam 218/228 525/525 @050
9.8:1 comp with 64cc heads
LT1 intake
Headers
6spd manual
These look nice, and got a good price tag.
Edelbrock pref RPM
DART PRO1 alu 180intake heads
I also looked at TF and canfield heads. But I belive that 200intake ports could be a bit much for a 355? I would like to make som power below 5000rpm
Any experince with the abow mention heads?

I ran 200 cc Sportsman II heads on my 10:1 cr 355ci with a solid flat tappet cam and Victor Jr. intake and 750 Holley DP and it made 300RWHP and 330RWT. Was a nice running motor with plenty on grunt as you can see it made much more torque than hp, don't be afraid of "big" heads

ok thanks. What do you think if the canfield 197 heads. The same heads JEGS sell under there name.

They look fine but I have no experience with those heads so I couldn't say if they are actually any good or not. Be carefull when buying fully assembled heads, the springs need to match your cam. So you if the springs don't work with your cam you gonna add another $150 -200 for the correct springs.
