I know the hot thing is to have heads CNCd at the factory. I have TFS 195s before that was offered. I was just going to have just bowl work done, CNC sounds much better. I get 280 rwhp now, that should make 300 rwhp? The CNC should be even more. I like extrude hone, just too much $.
Where can I get this done, how much will it cost and how much HP/TQ will I get? Any thoughts? TIA
Rick, IMO it's kind of like beating a dead horse to put another $1000 into heads that cost $1000. I just had a friend that put $1200 into his Dart 215's. He got the CNC job new 2.10/1.60 good valves with new roller springs and titanium retainers. I have not seen his flow sheet yet, but I doubt if they exceed off the shelf Dart 227cc heads like I have that flow 314 CFM (Claimed)
The New version of AFR 195 cc heads is supposed to be in the 300 CFM range which is more than my AFR 210's
My advice is to sell and recoupe some money towards new heads.
George: You answered my question. I've read where getting the bowls blended gives the biggest bang. I'm always looking for ways to get my ducks in a row to save a buck.I figure if the heads come off, might as well do something to them. I think Headers and X pipe will get me to 300 rwhp. 325 rwhp has a certian panache' about it, don't you think?
