My engine combo has had the block decked and the heads milled several times. Now RPM Airgap intake does not fit properly. How big a deal is this for a machine shop to correct? Thx, Lee
Don't just take the intake manifold - they'll need the heads & block too!
It's no big deal for a competent machine shop. Tell them what you've done to the block and heads so they can check to see how much metal was removed from these pieces, and they'll mill your intake manifold flanges to correct the alignment so your ports line up. Be sure to take all four pieces to the machine shop of your choice.

Any good performance shop can handle it. This is why I zero decked my block w/o cutting anything.
You really want to have them mill the intake face of the HEADS..not the intake. That way you can use any intake later and have not *married* the intake and heads as a set that is useless apart.
When we cut heads at our shop we always correction cut the intake face of the head and on the blocks we corecction cut the top of the block some times up to .125 if we know the heads are flat milled a lot for compression and if we know the heads are angle milled we correct to the original anlge of the intake face and only correct the top of the block to what we cut of the decks and so far we have had no issues and any intake will fit out of the box.
