Default Fuel Pressure Check

My Mechanic just called and mentioned to get a good reading of fuel pressure..they make an adapter that goes in place of the fuel filter. Sound right? Anyone know of this? I guess it's a more accurate reading technique. He heard it straight from the lips of a GM Engineer who was there from Detroit diagnosing a drivability problem on a new C5().

Shoot me a line on this...

could just get a gauge that mounts/connects to the fuel rail.. this way you know what you are getting at the injectors

Fuel pressure at idle is one thing, fuel pressure under load or off idle can be something entirely different. Wail on that thing after cleaning the plugs and then pull them again to see what they look like. For your Vette's sake man, get that thing on a dyno with data acquisition capabilities and tune it all the way. There's to many unknowns messing around with a little of this or a little of that. Hopefully "the mechanic" is "the man"... I've got my doubts, however, as the number of posts that I see regarding this issue seem to number quite high. I may be wrong... I dunno.
