i had a 94 jeep grand cherokee towing a waverunner from laughlin back to los angeles, car stalled 3 times in the middle of the desert and wouldnt run for a few minutes then ran fine. finally by chance my friend was taking a leek after it stalled once and when i reved the engine he claimed rocks were flying out the exhaust 
so i have him rev the engine so i can watch and big pieces of piping hot cat were flying out my exhaust. im pretty sure it was the crank position sensor or timing sensor? when he took out the cat it was completely hollowed and i had chunks stuck in my flowmaster....long story short i dont like jeeps anymore haha.
