Default Mod guys, what can I expect?

Hello all. In a couple of weeks I'm going to hit the dyno and I really don't have a good idea of what to expect. I'm going to list the relevent mods and I'm hoping some of you will give your opinion. Thanks in advance for your learned input.

383, Edelbrock RPM Performer intake, Holley 650 DP Carb, Dart Pro1 Heads w/ 200cc intake runners, 1.6 RR's. Hooker long tubes, no cats, dual exhaust, 700R4 tranny built up by Pete K, .373 gears in a dana 44.

Thanks again,

Steve

Without cam specs we can not give you a good estimate. That said, we see a lot of Dart Pro 1's in the 500"s at the crank with good cams and some RPM. What are the specs on the cam you are running?

That cams a bit smaller than what we normally see but looks to be a good fit with the package. It will be very street friendly and I would be looking for somewhere around 450-475 at the crank depending on the compression. I don't think you will get the power up there high enough to really make big hp numbers on this 383 but it may surprise me! It's happened before so be sure to let me know what it cranks out!

what's up azc4guy, i would be very interested in your numbers as well. i have the same cam in my vet right now. with the exception of the rest of the engine. i have a 400, fast burn heads, and a mini.

at what rpm do you shift at right now? i tach out at 6500, which might be a tad on the high side for this cam.
