Default belts and pulley problem???

I thought i would try here since i wasnt having any help in the c3 forum...
when i was cruising last night i started hearing my belts whine out of nowhere...and this was after 45 mins of driving....quite odd in my opinion, esp since they are tight enough...Could this be a bad bearing in my alternator, powersteering pump, or water pump making this squelling noise, or just a bad belt out of nowhere??
Thanks
Chris

Pop the hood open while the engine is running and look at the belts...If one of them "shake" then you have a bad bearing on one of your accessory.

74VETTE- I feel for you. I don't have that problem anymore. A bar of soap does wonders to belt noise. Rub some soap on the edges of the belt. That should take care if it.

Doesnt seem to be shaking....pulled off the belts and jiggled all the accessories and none wobbled or pulled in or out.....
Gonna get some new belts, and if it continues ill be pissed
