It is just a quicker way to degree the cam instead pounding the offset bushings in and out. Most cams today have 4-5 degrees of advance ground into them to make up for timing chain stretch later which can retard the cam 3 degrees or so.Unless you like to play,a regular Cloyes will do the job for you.
I have one here ,,,, I am a little leery of it,s ability to stay in time once adjusted . Looks like something more to give me grief down the road. I slept on it and I,m going to reorder and return this set today !!! Thanx for your time !!
Just installed the CLoyes True double Roller the other day. It had the 3 keyways for advance/retard settings along with stock 0 setting. This unit is made very well and I would highly recommend it. Much better than the stock one I took off. I think it cost 79.00 from summit.
Thanx for the comment ski ,,,,, I usually use the multiple keyway type,,,,, I returned hexadjust last week and installed a different setup !!!! Hello from eastern PA :seeya
Ram,
No problem dude. Nice to see some other fellow P.A.ers here. At times I think we are overrun by these all year sun guys. Boy oh boy if they only knew what they were missing. I keep repeating to myself: Warm sun, green grass. Help with the winter blues.
