DZ 302 engine
Hey guys, I bought a DZ 302 engine this weekend. I got it for next to nothing ($500). The guy needed the money bad. It is either a 68 or a 69 (it has 4-bolt mains). I just wanted a guess on what I could sell it for. It turns over and all the numbers are what they are supposed to be. It has no carb or intake manifold. I think that I will probably just keep it for a rainy-day project, but if some guy offered me a bunch of money.... If I could find a 4-speed vette that the engine was trashed in..... Well, let me know what you think!

It is out of a 69 Z28. Don't know what is worth but http://www.camaros.net/ might be able to help.

IMO those are only worth money to somebody that has to have one for his Camero. I've Had some very hot sub 300 ci over the years and it cost allot to get 375-435 hp out of 262's 283's. They they aren't reliable. So I built a destroked 350 3.25X4.060 and really had a good time. Now I wouldn't ever build a motor with less than 3.875 stroke.
