i am having the following engine installed next week. can anyone tell me what hp and torq this combo will have?
406 ci
trick flow twisted wedge heads and approximately 9.8:1 compression
super ram w 52 mm throttle body
1 5/8 long tube headers, into 2 3/4" borla off road exhaust - no cat
214*.486 lift intake; 218*.488 exhaust 108*ls
7 qt pan with diamond stripper windage tray

John,
I think you could stand to use a larger cam. 214/218 cam is pretty mild for a 406SR motor. I don't know if a roller cam is out of the questions, but it would be a nice upgrade as well. I think you could stand to use a cam with 220 to 230 degrees of duration while still maintaining a good idle/vacuum, and providing tremendous torque, probably around 500 lb ft.

I would highly recommend a roller cam motor. If monty would run the same motor, same dur., w/ a roller cam, you will probably gain a good 20 hp or more.
