Hey Monty...

What settings did you use to get those #'s?
Could you get a screen capture of the left side?
thanks

thanks for the reply i appreciate the input. my "guess" was 370 hp and 450 ft/lbs - these "sound better" more exiting.

thanks again

John,

I think you could stand to use a larger cam. 214/218 cam is pretty mild for a 406SR motor. I don't know if a roller cam is out of the questions, but it would be a nice upgrade as well. I think you could stand to use a cam with 220 to 230 degrees of duration while still maintaining a good idle/vacuum, and providing tremendous torque, probably around 500 lb ft.

thus far the converter will be left stock and i was concerned about idle and waiting at traffic signals.

also there's some "stealth" in mind so that the old stoplight grand prix goes my way!

i have a 224/240 "on the shelf" if i get a different converter next winter

I would highly recommend a roller cam motor. If monty would run the same motor, same dur., w/ a roller cam, you will probably gain a good 20 hp or more.
