Trans rebuild prices
Anyone know how much i should expect to pay to get me M21 rebuilt in my 70 vette. This one guy wants to charge me $350 just to take it out and put new gaskets...not even totaly rebuilding it. Does that sound right. How much more for a total rebuild????

It may be difficult for someone to quote you a very close estimate. The labor part can be detrmined. Not until the tranny is pulled out and dissassembled, could someone tell you what hard parts are needed, and how much they would cost.

The $350 to R&R the trans is not that far off as it`s a time consuming job. Anyone who tells you "exactly" what it will cost to rebuild a Muncie without at least pulling the side cover is someone to stay away from,if you want the job done right that is. NO ONE knows the condition of your gears and sliders etc. without looking inside. ......redvetracr
