Temp sensor issue for LS1 transplant
I am finishing my 61 that has a Paul Newman chasis and a LS1 powerplant from a 98 ss camaro. I can not find a single wire temp sensor that will fit that motor so I can keep my original guage. The car is all stock looking body up. I have a modern wonderbar radio and converted all the guages that I could so far, Does anyone have a answer to my temp sensor problem

To keep your original temperature gauge, you'll need to know what the stock temperature sensor's resistance was in Ohms. You may have to use an LS1 sensor and add additional resistance to make it work with your C1 gauge. I'd try Lectric Limited and see what they say.

autometer has adapters to make the sensor fit as well. 015103321 looks to be the sensor for the 61,(nice link^) you just need the metric adapter to screw it in
