Default Anyone know about this cam- 210/224???

Posted this in C4 performance, but not many bites. I figure you all would definately be able to help out, so here goes:

The 210/224 is the cam I have chosen to go with. It's MORE Performance's "Baby Cam". It's a pretty small cam, but I really want a good idle and lots of torque. My car originally went to MORE for a 396, but I've decided that this isn't the best time to splurdge for a stroker (I'm in my last year of college), so I'm getting a new stock 350 bottom end that they're giving me a GREAT deal on. As soon as I graduate next year, the 396 is going in- so I'm camming the car to tide me over until then .
The Crane 210/224 has .510/.552 lift with 112 degree lobe seperation. I know very little about what to expect from this cam and was hoping someone could fill me in about:
1. Active RPM's of the cam.
2. Idle quality
3. What kind of performance increases I will see from it.
4. How it compares to the HOT CAM.

While I'm in there, I'm going with 1.6 Comp Pro Magnum rockers (7/16), new lifters, upgraded valve springs, and a new HD timing chain. What do you think?? Thanks.

These are the specs I found for the hot cam: GM LT4 HotCam
218/228@.050 .525/.525.

With computer programming people seem to feel that this cam idles just fine even though it has more duration than what you are looking at. I think people are getting about 40hp out of a hot cam swap so you might get 20 out of yours.

I found stock listed as 203/210 .476/.480 so yours is kind of right in between. If you haven't bought the cam yet you might want to reconsider the hot cam.

I am sure that this cam will idle well. I am running a 218-224 and am very happy. All that extra duration on ex is not needed IMHO, unless your ex is very weak. The Hot Cam works well w/manual trans. I would go a little smaller w.auto. The 1.6s add about 2 degrees in duration and about .030 in lift. Since you are building a new motor, do your homework on finding parts that will WORK TOGETHER. Peak power does not make a good or quick street car. Take the time to talk w/tech reps from speed equipment Co. The best advice I heard is "find the perfect cam for you, then go one smaller. I hope this helps.
