tuning problem
My friend has a 72 camaro. He has a modified 350 with a holley 650, cam, and duels. It runs great in all conditions except when driving down the highway at 75 mph and turning 3500 rpms. The motor gets jerky and you start hear popping in the exhaust. Any ideas? lou

I had a similar problem on mine. Check the total timing of the motor. If the distributor is worn it may be allowing a lot more timing than is needed. Along with the vacuum advance you might be pulling a lot of advance. You should have a max of about 36 to 38 without the vacuum advance. I had a toatl of 50 without the vacuum advance. I took mine to a shop with a dist. machine and they fixed me up. Cost about 40 bucks and the car runs perfect now. Could be other things but check this first.
