Default 9,000 rpms?

As the thread title states I'm curious if this is possible on a reworked ls6 350 block. Basically what I'm thinking is re-sleeving the block using ductile iron sleeves and running a 4.125" bore on the stock 3.62 stroke (makes a 387 / 6.3 liter). As far as internals, attempt to lower rotating mass as much as possible obviously. Was looking at the Callies magnum XL crankshaft and they claim a weight of around 38lbs vs the stock 52lb crank. Next using forged titanium connecting rods (414grams vs manley pro series lightweight 609gram rods), Titanium wrist pins (40% lighter than steel pins), and JE's new "Asymmetrical" Titanium forged pistons it seems like you could literally remove about 2-3 cylinders worth of rotating weight!! I don't know maybe im going crazy or something . If this is possible though i was thinking this combined with individual throttle body's and a semi aggressive track/street heads and cam setup could possible be a very high output small block NA setup that would rev to the damn moon but still be some what smooth at idle due to the ITB's. What you think?

I don't know about 9,000 RPM. But, I am sure you will get more power by reducing weight on the crankshaft. Keep us informed as you build it.

Youll need one hell of a head and cam valvetrain and intake to get 9k reliably. Dry sump would be worth looking into also.
You will not have a smooth idle period, no way. May be a little soggy below 4-5k

Alright did a little more research into this and from what i'm told it can be done for about 20k . That being said im just gonna use a larger intake manifold and TB and standard forged parts and shoot for 7,500 rpms .

The answer is yes and no. Yes an LS6 can be built to rev to 9k but a tad bit more than 20k for a company that specializes in road race engines. The no is that your ecm is hard limited to just under 8192 RPM.
