Default rod question

I have new GM connecting rods. Which direction are they installed? I know big end on the bottom(ha ha) but which way does the bearing notches face inward or outward. I thought the notches should face the outside, but I haven't installed a set of factory rods in years. thanks..

They go out (away from the cam) on a Chevy.

look at the big end...you'll see a flange on one side of the bearing. This side always goes next to the crank's weights. if you remove the end caps from 2 rods you'd see this ->

\____||_____/
..____ _____
/........||.......... \

I hope this helps out....its hard to explain. lol btw, sorry for the dots...they were needed for the drawing to be understandable.
