Default 63 project

I have just finished the cars numbers matching engine and am interested in a 383 stroker with fuel injection.

I sold an earlier model (2002) 383 fastburn because it was worth more selling it intact then modding it for TPI.
I would eventually like to add a turbo or two so I need some advice on compression ratios and what to look for in bottom end components.

I am old school so recognize some of the old school names but some of these new companies and their rotating assemblies, I am not sure of?

So if one was building a mid range 383 with a strong bottom end. What would people recommend.

Next question

I am not stuck on a 383, I see some 431s or 400s that also seem rather tantalizing. My greatest concern with a Big Block is the extra weight and the fact I intend on keeping the drum brakes.

Any way, any help would be appreciated. I have been looking at TPI units and am already lost

Take a look at ultrastreet.net for the various custom crate engines available. The website will give you an idea of the varous sizes and hp ratings. I did buy their SBC 427 and their service was excellent.
