Richmond 6 speed

I know this isn't an engine mod question, but I figure this would be the best place to ask:
ROD users, is this gear hum normal or is mine defective? Less than 500 miles on it....the noise really bugs me. :confused:
ANY input appreciated.

mine got better with milage. took over 1000miles before it really loosened up, but its still alittle noisy at WOT. you should hear a difference soon, and the shifting gets smoother too.
