dropped lifter
Doing a cam swap on a ls2. Inserted 1/4 dowels to hold the lifters up. However while I was removing the old cam I heard what I believe was a lifter falling past the dowel. Sure enough, somehow the number 4 cylinder lifter fell into the block. I'm in panic mode now. Any ideas?

Jay...you crack me up. Yes, had to drop the front suspension and then the oil pan to get to the fallen lifter. You know the rest of the story. FYI, for anyone else doing this project, a 1/4" dowel is just not thick enough to securely hold the lifters up. Recommend at least a 5/16" dowel or use pen magnets.
