Brad,

Tell about your combo, please.

Are you rebuilding the 327, and have discovered the ultimate cam and head setup?

Lots of good advice posted! I'll also vouch for Duke's 80% bandwidth theory. Having the highest possible peak hp is nice but it takes power to accellerate to that point. The faster you can reach your peak power, the quicker your car will be. It'll also be much more pleasant to drive on the street. If the power below the curve isn't enough, you'll be seeing some Hyundai's tail lights before you begin to make your power :).

As for getting new 1.5 rockers or 1.6's, I'd do neither until I've driven the car with the new cam. We can guestimate all we want but there's no software or someone else's opinion that will let you know just how any particular cam/rocker ratio will suit your own preferences. If your budget is an issue, use your existing rockers until you've driven the car after the other mods. If you decide that you want more camming, go for the 1.6's, if not, get 1.5's.
