Default Looking for Mod input

I was just told last week that I will be going to Saudi Arabia for a few months. After paying my bills and all, I'll have about $6,400 to spend on my baby. I've only had my 98 Pewter C5 for about 2 months and I love it to death like you can't believe. I've been bitten by the bug and wanna do some engine mods. I want to keep it N/A for now, so I'm thinking heads and cam with a good intake. I'm not really limited on what I'll do, just needing some advice. Any input on what and who to do it would be greatly appreciated. I'll drive it :) anywhere for the stuff to be done.

Personally I would leave well enough alone in the engine area. maybe putor chip, air intake ducts, and headers to increase engine output. Then a really nice gain can be had by changing the tourqe convertor and final drive gear. Serious inprovement there without loosing any streetability. this is a C5 correct?

Yup ive seen some articles that post drastic improvements from convertor and rear gear swap. Expensive but $6400 should cover it with some to spare.

I've been bitten by the bug & well enough is not enough. What I'm looking for is prolly a heads and cam package along with a cold air intake and torque converter.

well id ask around in C5 tech and see what the usual mods are, but borla stinger exhaust, new headers, Blackwing, LS6 intake manifold and bigger cam come to mind.
