At the time of those pictures the hood was a custom cowl induction style raised about 3" . Very tasteful and not obnoxious like some that I've seen. Right now the car is going through another transformation. The drivetrain will be sitting between the rails of a ZR1 or ZR2 as I like to call it. It will have a ram air style hood like the trans am. And of course really wide Fikse all around.
I just looked at the website. What an incredible piece of work. There is a serious amount of craftmanship there. Many congratulations.
How much of the fabrication work did you do yourself?
How big is the motor?
Also, did you have a chance to dyno this combo. I realize that putting a fuel injected motor on an engine dyno can be a pain in the butt. If not an engine dyno, have you put it on a chassis dyno? Any hp and torque numbers for either?
Thanks for the compliment. The 468 dynoed with a carb at 742 hp @6700 without the 250 fogger or the injection. Right now I'm taking the car a step further, the drivetrain has been taken out and will going into a ZR1. A Zf tranny, centerforce clutch, steel driveshaft, dana 44- 4:10's steel half shafts and custom caps and coilovers were in the car before the changeover. The chassis dyno will come next year. All of the fabrication was done myself over several years (several long years). I'm guessing (hoping) with the injection and new cam I could be in the 800 ballpark.
Thanks again guys
Sorry I have not been able to get pictures up yet. I've just been to Monterey and Pebble Beach with the 2 vettes we just completed. Pics can be seen at pureperfection.net As far as the money pit I'm toying around with the idea of adding twin superchargers???
I'll get pics up after Carlisle. I'll be in the "T" building. Look for my cars in spots 179 and 180.
