Mucie ID help,please..
Hi..I wonder if theres a Muncie expert among us that could help me with this.I`m about to buy a tranny,but the guy doesent n´know what kind of tranny it is.
The Nr are:
3925661 13N187868 P3H 14B
Rear case Nr:
3915020
I`ve tried 5speed,com but i couldnt get enogh info from there,yet

Generally (BUT not always) you can go by the rings around the input shaft. No rings usually means it`s an old wide ratio or a M-22 depending on which case and what size pin it takes, two rings it`s a wide ratio and one ring it`s a M-21. REMEMBER I said usually!! To be sure you need to open it up and count the gear teeth (You should always open them up anyway to check the condition) ...redvetracr

I am no Muncie expert, but I will give your numbers a try.
Main casting number 3925661 was used from 1970-74.
P3h14B- Is a muncie built in 73{h=june 14=14} B=M21
