Has anyone had any experience with this block? I'm thinking about building a new engine using the LS Next block and wanted to know how much boost these blocks can take? Any help would be welcome.
Been looking at a lot of builds and none use the same manufactured parts. This engine should put out over a 1000 HP with a little boost. The good thing is the oiling system, The LS has a lot of problems with oiling and I have had enough of that problem. I'm going to go with the Callies crank H rods and diamond pistons. Heads have not be determined yet. Any advice would be welcome.
Did a forum wide search on the DART LS Next block and didn't find anything of value (probably since this particular block is marketed primarily at pro drag racers). Your best bet may posting the same question on one of the LS1Tech forums. There are plenty of engine builders that frequent that forum. Hope this info helps.

I have gathered enough information on the Dart LS Next Block, block is ordered and all the needed parts. Going to go for some big HP on this engine. I'll keep everyone up to date on the build.
I can't find any information on the. I may call ARE today and see if I can get some info.
So does canton the problem is they are not built for the ls7 dry sump set up.I have come down to running the moroso spacers and a stock pan.You have to use a remote filter due to how the oil system is on the block.

The Dart LS next block is going into my C5. Oil pan has two solutions. the one I'm using is the adapters rail so I can use my stock Pan here is an example http://www.summitracing.com/search/b...version%20Kits
There are also custom pans being made for around 600.00.
Keep tuned as I continue on my build.

There are several after market wet sump pans made, its the dry sump on the ls7 and the GS ls3 that there are really no aftermarket pans for. They make dry sump pans for the ls next but none of them for the stock type dry sump system.Canton makes a very nice wet sump pan if you don't want to use the moroso rail for your stock pan.
Have the block in for some machine work, honing the cylinders to size for the Diamond Pistons, checking deck height, checking the mains for proper fit. All new blocks should be checked before putting them together. Next I'm going to check my new heads valves to see if there seating properly and checking valve guide clearances. I'll give you more information as the project progresses.
Jim your going for big power I see who is checking your heads I need to find someone in our area to look at mine also I am not sure but I think my heads have a bad valve job on them. the landings on the angle are differant sizes and not flat I am in the middle of hand lapping and it doesn't look right.
