Your link didn't work. All stroker assemblies cost about the same with simular quality of parts. So why not build a 396 with a 3.875 stroke. Their are a couple of 4 inch stroke stock blocks out there. but I would not do it.

A 396 is definately an option, but tell me what you think about the rest of the displacements I'm thinking about.
