Big cam for 87 C4
Im looking for a big cam with a rough idle with an rpm range of say
2000 to 5600 for my 87 C4 with a manual transmission, Can anyone suggest any manufactures and there grinds? Thanks

not the anser you want to hear..the tpi intake is done at 4500 if you add a big cam the car will be slower than it already is meaning by time the cam makes power the intake cuts all power off
Something like a 256, 262 lunati or similar will run strong
Wont have arough idle but youll know its not stock. Throaty i should say
youll need to retune the computer.

Proabbly best to look at a different style of intake if you want to put a 'big cam' in as the TPI intake's long runners don't allow power production above 4500RPM and a big cam will want to make power at a higher RPM.
However you can still get a bit of cam loap at idle and have an engine that makes power in the TPI RPM range and drives ok.
I had a comp cams extreme energy 268 roller in my old TPI engine (218/224 @.050) and it had a nice loap to the idle while still working with the long runners of the TPI intake in my 88'.
