Well from what the stamp pad tells me- to the right- is that it is from a Monte Carlo/Chevelle from '71.It's telling me that that is an LS-5 block. So the numbers you are questioning are as follows; 1-Chevy,1-year, K-Kansas( Chevelle/Monte Carlo),the rest is the last 6 of the VIN. Hopes this helps you..
