If I install an after market fuel injection system on my 400+ HP SB Chevy Desktop Dino says it will kill my Power? :nonod: Why is that and do you guys know if it is true? I am looking at a Holley system.
Also, be careful not to use the TPI manifold selection, unless you are actuallu using a stock TPI manifold. If you're using somehting like a Stealthram, SuperRam, Miniram, or converted single plane, then TPI is not the appropriate selection.
Your power and hp should be roughly the same with both EFI and carb induction systems assuming the manifold types are the same and the cfm are appropriate (a TPI manifold is more restrictive than a typical single plane for insance). However, the EFI engine should produce better overall, or average torque under the curve, than a carb'd engine though, assuming the fuel and ignition maps are good.
Re: After market fuel injection system? (SmokedTires)
After spending 1 hour with turbovette the Sat. I would definately ask him for some advice. He has put a Grand National trubo 6 cyl in his vette and is in the mid 9's with his modded EFI.
