Hello,

I am not a Corvette owner, but do believe I have a 327 that may be from a Corvette that I have a question or 2 about.

The numbers on back of the block are 3782870(327 CID 1965) and A45(Jan.4, 1965)

But the stamp on the front pad is FOIO5HY. Looking a THE LIME BOOK(https://www.ncrs.org/ok/LIME_BOOK_2018.pdf

and the HY suffix says that it's a 69 block 350CID 300HP 4 Barrell, Manual Transmission CO=Corvette.

If I am correct in my interpretation of the numbers what accounts for the difference in the embossed numbers on the back of the block and the stamp number on the front pad.

Am I interpreting the number correct?
