L-82 Engine Heads - looking for advice
Looking for some feedback, is it better to have cylinder heads rebuilt or purchase replacements for a 1979 L82?

It's pretty expensive to do a valve job on old lightweight smog heads that do not flow very well in the first place. The original ones are rather crack prone. I guess if they lasted this long they might be OK but they are not tolerant of overheating etc.
Aftermarket heads typically cost less and give better performance. Pretty easy call.
