Proform center section?
Has anyone used this and proven it to help? What about just milling off my choke tower and removing my choke blade? Will that help or could it F*&$% things up more than it can help. I am more than competent at machining just have never really got any good responses about doing this mod on a carb. How much might be gained by milling and removal of the blade? Why I think it might help is because of the fact there is "very little" room between the top of my choke horn and the bottom of my air cleaner because I have low hood clearance. So I was thinking this would give it more room? Is this sound or just grasping at straws?

Re: Proform center section? (INMYBLOOD)
I'm using the Proform 750 body on what started out as a Holley 3310. I, like you needed underhood clearance. Ironically it ran great for anout a year and 1,800 miles or so. Then last week it started dumping gas & floofing. I don't know it it's Proforms fault or not.
Looking back, I shoulda opted for a new HP Proseries Holley. They're the one's without the choke & choke tower.
Removing the airhorn may be useful in increasing flow, especially with a lid close to the choke horn. It should not hurt anything, other than cold weather warm-ups.
Can't say how close your flow would be to the HP carb or Proform body. I have the 650CFM 4150HP, and like it a lot. They are pricey, though.
