Has anyone ever had roller lifters seize in the bores? I'm worried...my Crane roller hydraulic lifters seem a bit tight when going in. Block is a new, standard lifter bore, bow tie block. Any input appreciated.
BT blocks need lots of work before being used!:( Everything is custom. You need to hone out the lifter bores. I repeat everything on them is not done. I do Sprint car motors and they take 30-40 man hours to do what you want.
When you get into race blocks they expect you to work on them :flag
I'd talk to your machinest. Lifters should just slide in with a little lube. that's why I was thinking that a lifter bore hone and just open them up a .001 or so.
I was also just thinking you probably have everything together already and perfectly clean - I've had to take apart one of my stroker motors because I didn't grind enough to allow for crank shaft end play. I almost went into depression!!!!!!!!!!!
