?'s on engine block
The one of the main caps is cracked can it be repaired or replaced. Also the block has been repaired before it shows it in the second picture. Will it be a problem?
Thanks
in the block). I've fixed those before and they're usually fine. That crack in
the main cap looks to be non-structural. It goes through the area of the pan gasket, although it might also go through the area where the rear main seal
sits.
I would pass on it unless you are really on a tight budget and can inspect
the block before you commit to buy it and are comfortable with it after
looking at it. There's a reason they are not using it any longer.
BTW, it's .005" overbore also (you probably knew that).
Good luck,
Dan
