A new project has me needing an electric water pump - half Corvette related, as it's a motor from my 'vette into a Fiero (the motor has no pedigree, block decked somewhere along the line).
Does anyone have experience with using an electric - CSR and Meziere and Aerospace are the ones I've been considering, either direct mount or remote - and is it possible to keep my heater through some routing around the pump ?
MEZ. i'v been told on a few projects was on almost DD cars.. owners said they drive 3/4 days a week and pump was doing great, just what
i have been told
The manufacturers say that they are streetable. I guess I'll find out. I'm putting one on my new engine along with electric everything else - electric water pump, fuel pump, fan, and ignition.
Although I haven't done it yet, I plan on putting a Y-fitting of some sort in the water line to run to the heater core.
I've got the Mez high flow pump on mine. I had them weld a bung at the 10 oclock position on the suction side so i could connect my heater element. So far no problems with it in almost a year.
