Default Which Heads???

I went out to Milan about a week ago. My 383 stroker (stock bore) ran strong. Consistant 117 mph 1/4 mile with a best time of 11.700. 60 ft 1.68 with the MT's. For some reason I think a 383 stock bore should run lower 1/4 mile times. I'm wondering if the LS6 heads, (with the bigger valves), I had CNC'd might cause some loss of power, be it HP or torque. With the cam listed below along with all the other mods, any recommedations, comments or ideas from personal experience? Is there a better head for a 383 than my LS6 heads? I've heard the LS1's can have a better flow than LS6. I've been told that my setup is about 7 tenths shy of what it should be.
Thanks
Ken

The new AFR heads look promising, but no one has even started porting or coating them yet. I bet you could get 500 rwhp with a coated setup on pump gas with a 346, but with a 383 you can do even better, but I haven't seen it done yet. The AFRs have a thicker deck, so they should take better to juice.
