I know it's old hat to some of you guys but the first engine i ever built fired up today and sounded great. had it on an engine stand to run it in. I built it at my buddies house so he could look over my shoulder and "make sure i didn't screw up anything to expensive first time out".well it ran like a top and i did a little dance and gigilled. (kinda funny looking being done by a 46 year old tattooed, 250#, 6'4" goober) cool man. wish my tranny would arrive so i could drop it in the 65. Oh well. BBC up next. just had to share.
i'll be putting the whole shebang back together next weekend ,(evidentialy sometime ago I promised my wife to take her somewhere nice this coming weekend, dooohhhh) new tranny, new shocks, new engine. etc. cut a deal with a guy to have him build me custom SS headers and sidepipes but i will probably wait a week or two to have that done. hopefully the car will feel and sound way nicer. I'll post plenty of pics when i am done.
I get the same feeling every time I fire up a new engine.
I've built quite a bit of motors over the years and each and every time my face lights up like a kids on Christmas morning
Becareful though it's addictive
