Default point me at a couple good cams please

hyd roller for 496. 5 speed car with 390 rear. ported proline heads figure 9.5-10/1 comp. i'm trying to model it on my desktop dyno. the head mfg. recommends lift between .650-.750 so.... like to have peak HP by 6000 RPM, 6500 RPM latest. I don't want huge torque on the bottom

Is the motor built already, 11:1CR would be nice for a big cam

Get one of the cams gm uses in thier 502 motors.I wouldnt go past 630lift duration around 230-240 to take away bottom torque.

The last 496 I built made peak hp at 6800 rpm , with heads that flowed 370 cfm at .700 lift. Cam was 274 / 284 @ .050

If your heads flow 330 cfm ; my guess is , you need around 255 @ .050 to make peak where you want it.
