Reason being is i plan to dual stage next year, but i have learned from NOS that i it's not recommended to spray over 150 on the dual plane.AAARRGGHH. So now i have to either plumb in some fogger nozzles or try a single plane. I know the single plane will be easier, i'm just worried as to how much low end driveability i will lose ? I can give up some though.
So the plan is 100 out the hole then 150-200 more ...probably at the 100 FT mark. Any suggestions ?
You can spray propane with the nitrous instead of fuel. This makes it less sensitive to fuel puddling, which is the cause of problems with dual planes and long efi intakes. The viper guys are big into propane+nitrous because of the torturous intake.
Just a thought if you are so adamant about giving up the dual plane.
the problem with the dual plane is even dist because of the 2 different plenum floor lengths and the vastly different runner lengths.
My friend Katzelis Engineering made his own propane kit and sprayed it on a 94 F-body LT-1 last year and did well 11.00 @120 on a all stock motor, exhaust and accesories car. We don't think it will work so well with a carbed set up, FI it works great on.
I've heard about guys stacking the two on diesel engines, but this is the first I've heard of anyone running it on gasoline! I guess it makes good sense though, seeing how the drag guys run nitromethane and nitropropane...
he's got a nice write up on it on camaroz28.com in the forum section N2O ..
Propane actually is 105 octane, so he used it as a fuel enrichment , because the stock pump wouldn't keep up with that big a shot. It struggled on the 150 shot and resulted in some 700 O2's. so he installed a propane tank, and a custom solenoid and he turned the kit up to 200 and O2's were right back at 900.
