I know this may be a little off topic but im not sure whre else to post this. does anybody know where i can purchase a autoshut off timer switch? Or if they even exist. I want a setup kind of likea turbo timer on a turbo car only instead of having my entire engine running i want it to tun my electric waterpump and both fans for about ten minutes after i shut the car off. this is for when i go to the drag strip so it has plenty of time to cool down really quick between runs. It would also be nice if it had a manual overide so i could leave it on as long as i want. I dont wan tto go with an actual turbo timer cause they hook up to the ignition and i dont want my whole motor running. can anyone help me out?
Electronics stores sell relays with built in timers that you could use. There is usually a timer **** on the top. Just get one that works off 12 volts, can switch at least a couple amps, with a delay range that suits your intent. These can run about $20-60, but surplus could be just a few dollars.
Forget about finding it at your local Radio Shack.
ive got these solid state timers i use on elevators. i borrowed a couple from work and made a security system for my truck. there really slick and not much bigger than a credit card. dont know were youd get one sorry

You could try looking at Grainer. They supply the military and alot of other industrial contractors with just about everything from mop buckets to machineguns. Or just do a Google search for electronics suppliers and see what pops up. Oh and to have a manual switch override just wire a simple on/off switch in parallel with what ever delay timer switch you choose and closing the switch should bypass the timer once it opens.
