Got the car back from the shop last night. I will get new pictures of the exhaust when I get a chance. This is the new exhaust 2.5" pipe, true dual, and dumped them right before the rear axle. The car sounds great now and I can work on it in the garage while its running!!!
This was post number 3000 for me!!! I really spend alot time on here.....

This has been my project for the last 3 years...different goal but fun to be sure...it came with a worn out 402 and now has a forged 461 BBC in her...not street legal 81...
Keep up the good work on your project...it is looking good...

New pictures!!!!
We are getting ready to do the paint. This week/weekend will be spent prepping the car. Here is the progress.
I started the wet sanding and also resealed the front and rear glass. Yes, it really sucks. As you can tell there is still alot left to do....
Picking out the new material for the seats.

Looks like one very large bird hit the car.

The car is really looking good! I have to say that I'm a little jealous, as I mentioned in a very early post in this discussion, the 70s F-bods pretty much rusted out in this part of the country 25 years ago. My '77 T/A (which I bought brand new) was experiencing some rust issues even though I never drove it in the winter....I sold in in '01, and bought a 'Vette, that's why I'm here at the CF.

I did live in No. Carolina for a while--and noticed that, even there, clean old cars were far and few...
It's not all that hard here to find a good project car--with NO rust... Just like this RS which was born in CA..

Nice job... keep up the good work guys
I had a 1979 Z-28 that I did a full resto on back in 1995/1996, always loved the open nose/split bumper cars and would like to make a project out of one hopefully in the not so distant future.
