[QUOTE=Les;1579023032]Wow, those are both gorgeous Z28s! I'll add mine to the mix since you started things off so well. It's my original owner, numbers matching 70 Z28. The motor has the original block but I've added AFR 195 heads, more cam, headers, and a few other things to bring the anger level up on the motor. It's been an amazing car for all 41+ years!
Wow! That's pretty amazing to hold on to a car for that long

Thanks! The car has just been too good for me to seriously consider selling it.

i have had my 79 TA for 20 years
dont know how to post up photos
its a POS anyway
had someone who was supposed to take care of it and they really F-ed it up on me
spent alot of $$ to get it somewhat decent
i will NEVER try to restore one of these cars again
Repo parts suck a$$ big time
and very very hard to find NOS stuff
they look cool, but without a doubt newer cars are 10 times better
plus as you get older... the creature comforts become more appealing too

My brothers garage....
The grey '70 has 670 rwhp and there's another Challenger parked in back of the orange one. I dont know what year the shell is but the frame and parts are in the foreground. ZL1 in the background and a '55 pick-up.

This my 78 which sports a numbers matching block that has been made into a 455 and uses (perf) Edelbrock aluminum heads. It has all kinds of other performance goodies, too much to list but made just over 580 hp 620 tq. on the dyno. The color is Mayan Red with white interior. I'm in the middle building a polished stainless 3" dual exhaust for it, as can be seen in the pictures. This car is a great addition to my corvette collection.

New cars are nice but these never get "old".
And the values dont really decrease, correct?

It's a 73, according to the VIN its a real Z28. Since that picture was taken I did all the fuel lines, brake lines, motor and trans are in, cross member, cooler lines, etc etc..........
Still a long way to go.

So did you have the original 400 block machined to fit a 455 crank?

My 10th Anniversary...400, 4 speed around 69,xxx miles. It sat in storage for about 12 years and was finally brought back to life last fall. It was mechanically went through and the engine was rebuilt with a mild cam, RAIII exhaust manifolds, and full 2 1/2 exhaust (still need to put on the new splitters).
