Profiles Topics et cetera
Can someone help me out here? I've been using my good old CF handle 'Brass' (my old Phi Psi nickname) and I was hoping to put my real (ha ha if you believe THAT!) name al la Forum. I can't seem to figger the change from Brass to Bill. Chuckster, you've been down this road. Wanna help out a dummy?

I think you're cheatin' and not readin' all the posts :D
Click on "My Profile"...this software will allow you to change your user name so long as it doesn't exceed 15 characters. I am not sure it won't bust you back to "0" posts though; better now than later after you have accumated a 1000 or so posts!

Actually Chuck, you need to have one of the administrators do it. We don't have that feature turned on for standard members.
The trolls would have a field day with it!
They could flame away under a different name and then change it in a moment.

The 'user name' under my profile is not a field that can be updated. Maybe I'll leave Brass. I've grown rather attached to it. Maybe I can use the other half, too: '*****'.

After you click on "My Profile", Click on "Personal Profile", where you can change all your vital data.
I believe "Full Name" actually becomes your user name, so you may not want to put in your First, Middle, and Last Names, or that will print out on your post. I tried to make some changes, and filled in my full name, and luckily it rejected it as too long.
(After Seeing Troy's Posts) Er, uh, sorry, Bill. From what I read, that's how it worked, but I was never successful at changing it (I thought it was the length). Thanks, for helping the misdirected, Troy
