If you need some zinc phophate I have some of it available. Comes in 1 liter bottles. Shipping is Flat rate of 16.00 as it comes in a plastic container. Took me over 10 years to find this stuff this Zinc Phophate. Last guy that had it was ASL and that was 20 years ago. I savored the bottle that I bought from Don. You cannot buy it from any chemical supply companies. Each plastic container easily holds 2 x 1 litre of Zinc. So my advice is buy 2 and maybe you'll have found a second car to restore. Once my stock is depleted I will not get any more. Too much hassle in getting the product and very little money in it. Does a lot of nuts and bolts and anything you need to Zinc phosphate. I sold some to Jerry Fuccillo who has great results with it and using OEM black out which darkens the bolts blackish wut the bolts still retain the sparkles of the Zinc Phosphate. anybody on the Forum can email me directly if you want to buy this stuff. I can send pics of my hood hindges, smog pullies and motor mount bolts done with Zinc Phosphate. Thanks for your time. Grant grantwong@telus.net

Just a note in the original posting of Grey Phosphate. Zinc Phosphate is the same solution. It comes out a greyish sparkly effect. Black Phosphate is using Zinc phosphate and OEM Black out. When boiled together in a crock pot the part will come out dark Blackish like original motor mount bolts, hinge bolts, frame bolts and so on.

If you are looking for the product to grey phosphate or black phosphate, I have some. It is actually Zinc phosphate. Zinc phosphating when plated comes out a greyish color. To darken it you can boil the item longer with Zinc phosphate, but if you want to blacken the part the zinc phosphate and OEM Black must be mixed together in the crock pot and boil until you see the part turn blackish make the item Blackish but still retains the sparkles of the Zinc Phosphate. However I have boiled the zinc phosphate process longer than 15 mins and the item came out darker grey. I have a limited quantity of the Zinc Phosphate, took me over 10 years to get ahold of the product. Last quart I had was from ASL which was about 20 years ago. I savored that bottle till I found some. I sell the Zinc phosphate in 1 liter bottles at 35.00 US each. Shipping is a flat rate of 16.00 US and the plastic container holds 2 bottles of the Zinc. So in a way buy 2 bottles as once all sold out I will not aquire any more and it'll be maybe another 10 years someone else get it or maybe absolutely discontinued from the market. The product is easy to use. A stainless steel used pot or the best is a crock pot. You use about 1/2 gallon of water and about 3 ounces of Zinc phosphate solution and boil at 200 degrees for about 15 mins. I done all my hood hindges, smog pullies, blacken all mounting bolts and motor mount bolts. Came out just like factory. If any forum member is interested in the Zinc phosphate you can email me directly grantwong@telus.net
