Stingray Trivia
Hello. Looking for your input on a little trivia.
I know the '77 Vette has the Crossflags emblem as opposed to the Stingray, but is it not still considered the last year of the 'Stingray'? Depending on what site I search, the most common answer seems to be that the Stingray was from '63 to '77. It does seem kinda silly to still consider it a Stingray without the emblem, but I hate to lose a silly bet over a little ole emblem.....

I don't know where you saw that the 1977 Corvette was called a "Stingray". But the best reference guide I can think of next to memory is the Corvette Black Book by Michael Antonick. 1963-1967 = Sting Ray. 1969-1976 = Stingray. 1968 was not a Stingray...no emblem, 1977 was not a Stingray.....no emblem. If you go to C3 general and search this you will get pages and pages of discussion. I'm with LT-1george. Stingray (Sting Ray) was just a badge. It was either put on or not depending on year.

Despite what Terry Michealis wants you to think, the last Stingray was built in 76, not 67. Now I will agree that the last STING RAY was built in 67, but to me the spelling of the word doesn't not make it a Stingray.
