Patrick, you gonna roll the 67 over so you get the runs going the right way? :reddevil
Hee, Hee...No, Mac, he used an old NCRS anally retentive restorer trick...He sprayed a good wet coat, then he got down under the frame and huffed them in the right direction. The first "runs" you do that way isn't bad, but after that you get a little dizzy with all those aromatic hydrocarbons in the air. :D  :D
Re: Front of the frame paint pics... (Patrick Tighe)
Nothing wrong using aerosol cans,I painted my 68 with aerosol cans.......30 of em
They say its hard to get the "metallic" right with one of those high-dollar, gravity fed, HVLP, non-agitated spray guns...just imagine how tough it must be with spray cans.
Re: Front of the frame paint pics... (Patrick Tighe)
..... it will bring a tear to an NCRS judges eye!
If you really want to bring a tear to an NCRS judge's eye, try poking 'em with your fingers, Three Stooges style. It gets them every time!
Mind you, there's probably a significant points deduction for it, even if it's not covered in the Judging Manual. ;) Some judges have no sense of ha-ha whatsoever.
Re: Front of the frame paint pics... (Patrick Tighe)
Patrick ,
I've been taking plenty of pictures with a 35 mm but I have'nt got the technology to get them on the computer yet.I'm going out to visit my hi-tech brother in Az. on wed. so I will see if he can scan & post a few for me. Otherwise when I get back I'll have to break down and get a scanner & figure it out for myself. I should have the frame painted tommorow.
Bruce :smash:
Looking really fine......I know exactly how you feel, as I just recently completed a total frame restoration...down to the primer. A project like this can get frustrating and seem at times overwhelming, but keep at it! The results are absolutely worth it.....
Enjoy,
Allen
PS: if you're interested check out pics I have posted in the C1/C2 forum.
Re: Front of the frame paint pics... (Patrick Tighe)
Thanks Patrick
Come to think of it ,I think that is basicaly what my brother told me last year when I explained what I wanted to do.
Anyway I primed & painted my frame , A-arms and all the rest of the front end parts today. I took plenty of photos and will be bringing the camera with me anyway to Az. I would like to show it off after all that work!
