With help from an html-savy coworker I managed to put together a website within CF. As some of you may have guessed, I have been working on a photo album of sorts that follows the restoration with pictures and commentary.
The following link takes you to that site; please look around. I would be very interested in what you think, as well as how easy it is to nagivate within the site. http://temp.corvetteforum.net/classics/allenz
WOW! That's an incredible documentation...I find it difficult to set aside time for my project, let alone to build a website such as this. Great job
Just FYI but if you goto http://www.tripod.com they have ready to go templates for web pages for free. All you need to do is put in text and pictures and your all done. if you wish to transfer the site to your own space you can easily. This is what I have put together over the last while for my resto section, (Email me if want the link to see what I have done with it). just an example of what can be done. there are a bunch of templates to go with and like I said its very easy to use.
Allen, I took the time to study your website this morning. Congratulations on an excellent documentation of a top notch restoration.
You are very fortunate to have had a unique relationship with your restorer...he provides the garage space, the tools, and the Corvette expertise including known good suppliers of specialized services, while you are able to actively participate in the restoration and provide much of the labor. You have gained extraordinary knowledge and experience, as well as reduced your total restoration cost.
Clearly, your entire family and your friends have been enthusiastic contributors to this project, and it will provide memories for years to come. It would be nice if CF had a special place for great documented restorations like this. It would be educational and inspiring to those taking on restoration projects. I am afraid your web address will get buried in the great volume of stuff that flows through here. :D

Chuck hits on an idea that maybe the forum should pursue. There should be a separate forum or area where two years from now, someone can easily find excellent sites like Allen's. There are probably other ones out there, but where to find them? I know I've gotten good use from a site of a fellow poster here, I believe 58vette65. What great resources these could be. All we need is a place to list them.
