and even more four post lift stuff.......
I am finally ready to take the plunge and buy a four post lift,and after much research have narrowed the search to four lifts. The only lift that is on my final list which I have not heard discussed is the bendpack 7000 lb four post lift. I know that bendpack has a great reputation for comercial heavy duty lifts but know nothing of their residential lifts. Any comments on their lift would be appreciated. John

While I appreciate your concern, the failure of this lift has not changed my mind about purchasing one anymore than hearing about a corvette crashing would deter me from buying one. I would however still appreciate any comments on the Bendpak 7000 lb lift in particular. Iwould like to hear from anyone who owns one and has any comments positive or negative. Thanks, John

I wasn't in anyway trying to deter you from buying one. I would love to have one myself, but the ceiling in my garage is only 8'. In that particular thread (on page 2, I think), someone discussed the merits of particular designs. Since you were asking for comments, I thought you might be interested. :cheers:

I do appreciate your comments, and did not mean to be short in my response to you. I have been watching that thread unfold for several days, and may just be getting a little sensitive to all the comments from some of my well-intentioned friends pointing out this failure and implying that this is what I have to look forward to.
